PERMANENT MAKE UP

Permanent cosmetic makeup is cosmetic tattooing. The specialized techniques used for permanent cosmetics are often referred to as "micro pigmentation", "micro pigment implantation" or "demographics". The cosmetic implantation technique deposits coloured pigment into the upper reticular layer of the dermis. Permanent cosmetics procedures are performed using various methods, including the traditional tattoo or coil machines, the pen or rotary machine and the non-machine or hand method. The process includes an initial consultation, then application of pigment, and at least one or more follow up visits for adjusting the shape and colour or density of the pigment.

  • Looks more natural than regular make up
  • Does not come off at night, in the pool, during work out, etc
  • Saves valuable time
  • corrects asymmetry

  • Persons with poor vision or arthritis
  • Contact lens wearers
  • Persons with alopecia
  • Persons needing lash and brow tinting
  • Persons allergic to make up

Permanent cosmetic make up can look as natural as you want. Pigments are placed directly under the epidermal layer of the skin, resulting in a more natural appearance than regular cosmetics.

We recommend selecting a natural style that compliments your face. You can always add conventional cosmetics over your permanent colour for varying effects.

Is the process safe?

Absolutely! The client’s safety is our highest concern. A new disposable needle cartridge is used for every new procedure and disposable items are used.

Are there any precautions that should be taken before the lip procedure?

If you have ever had a fever blister in your life, we suggest that you obtain a prescription for Cyclivex capsules 400mg (anti-viral medication) from your physician or dentist and begin taking them 2 days prior to this procedure and 3 days after.

Do I have a choice of colour placement of pigments?

Yes, you will be involved in all placement of colour. Your input is necessary to achieve the results you will be satisfied with.

Is it painful?

Most people experience some discomfort. This may vary according to each individual's pain threshold.  Topical anaesthetic ointments of high quality is applied to ensure a more comfortable treatment.

Lips can be injected to give total numbness while permanent make-up is applied.

How will the appearance look over time?

The colour will soften over the years. You might feel that you need a touch-up procedure 4 weeks after the first procedure or alternatively after some time depending on how your body deals with the Permanent Makeup.

How costly is the procedure?

Good quality work performed with specialised equipment and products are costly. All processes will consist of two application appointments. Several procedures require more than two visits to slowly build up a soft wash of colour.

How much time does the procedure take?

Each procedure takes approximately between 1-1/2 and 3 hours to complete.

Can I wear additional make up over my permanent make up?

Yes. Micro pigmentation applications provide a subtle look for natural feature enhancement. After healed, you may choose to apply more make up for a more glamorous appearance.

What to Expect From the Procedure

Permanent cosmetic make up is a process where pigments are inserted into the dermal layer of the skin, permanently. At your appointment, your needs and expectations will be discussed. There will be some paperwork, a review of your medical history and before and after care instructions.  Pre- and Post-procedure photos will be taken for technician records. Strict sanitation and sterilization guidelines are followed. Pigments are mixed specifically for permanent cosmetic use. Topical anaesthetics are applied for numbing.  In 4 to 6 weeks, when the inner healing is complete you will visit again for a touch-up procedure.
