A missing tooth is replaced by grinding down the adjacent teeth. An impression is taken and a week later the prosthesis is fitted permanently.

 

This bridge cannot be removed by the patient.  Special oral hygiene routines apply.(See oral hygiene page)

 

Ups: This is a quick and relatively cheaper option to replace missing teeth. This technique has been used for many years with great success.

 

Downs: Healthy teeth have to be drilled in order to facilitate the construction of a bridge. Poor and/or incorrect oral hygiene procedures may lead to leakages and bad breath.
