This disease is caused by the sugar content in the bottle given to babies. It is characterized by the decay of the front upper incisors. It can become so severe that infants need to have their teeth pulled at a very young age.

The solution to this problem is to avoid giving a bottle to your baby when going to sleep. Out of experience with my own children I know that this is easier said than done.

The best advice that I can give parents is to give a bottle to your baby but avoid adding any type of sugar or giving fluids containing sugar at all cost.
